In April, I managed six reads with most being 4 or 5 stars! There was one that I declined to give a star rating for a few reasons. If you’re interested, you can check out why here.
In addition to the many wonderful reads, I had a very busy month at work and I took a few days off to attend RARE23 Melbourne. If you’re unfamiliar with RARE, it stands for Romance Author and Reader Event and is a romance-focused event that began in 2014. This year was the first time it had been held in Australia (where I’m currently based)!
At the event, I met so many of my favourite romance authors, including Sally Thorne, Nalini Singh, Rebecca Zanetti, Cora Reilly, Colette Rhodes, Evie Mitchell, Nana Malone, Kally Ash/Lauren Dawes, T Gephart, KE Osborn, LP Lovell, and TL Swan.
And yes, I did fangirl pretty hard over some of those authors. Sorry, Sally and Rebecca!
I also discovered some new-to-me authors that I can’t wait to try! I’ve added books by JA Collard, Mackenzy Fox, Eden Summers, Elle Thorpe, Hannah Cowan, Julie Weaver, Montana Ash, Nina Levine, Serena Akeroyd, Sharon Woods, and more to my TBR.

Additionally, I met and spent the weekend hanging out with one of my closest friends (@booksofthemuggleborn) who I’ve had an online friendship with for the past five years! Many laughs were had, delicious food consumed, and books/authors discussed.
