Review

When Skye Warren hits my kindle with a new release, I know it’s going to be incredible. Private Property is the latest book by Skye and the first in the Rochester trilogy. It’s about a young woman who signs up for a year-long (and very well paid) nanny job in the hopes of saving up enough to attend college. The job? Looking after the young niece of the recently reclusive, very rich, and oh-so mysterious hero.

It’s quite hard to review this book without giving too much away. Quite a lot happens throughout the story, and yet there is still so much that we, readers, are still awaiting to be revealed. There is the mystery of what happened to the young niece’s deceased parents, and more about the hero’s past before he began his sudden reclusive behaviour. And how the newly developed relationship between the hero and heroine will continue on. Also, that cliffhanger!

Just before I began this story, I heard it was going to be a trilogy so I was expecting a bit of a cliffhanger, but still… no amount of warnings or expectations ever prepares me for Skye’s cliffhangers!

Basically, this is a fantastic read for anyone who enjoys intrigue, suspense, and steamy romance. I loved it and desperately need to delve further into the series with the next book. While we wait for the sequel’s release, I highly recommend lovers of dark romance check out Skye’s other series. She’s an author you don’t want to miss!
