Justin Tibbs might be a hot, athletic, and amazing firefighter but he also has a reputation as a manwhore.
Tessa Ricci worked too long and too hard to be taken seriously in the NYPD to fall victim to his charm.
Assuming he was interested, which he wasn’t.
Until he was.
And then neither of them was sure who was seducing who.
Between the Lines by T Gephart was a fun, lighthearted read focusing on a relationship between a firefighter and a cop in NYC.
Justin Tibbs is a super attractive firefighter and loves to play the field. Tessa Ricci is an independent, badass cop who has previously had interactions with Tibbs but has always been overlooked in the past. Through a stroke of fate/chance, they stumble across each other in a club but this time Tibbs sits up and pays attention to Ricci. And so the battle of wills begins…
This was the first story I’ve read by Gephart but I thoroughly enjoyed her writing style and the easy-going nature of her storytelling abilities. She wove a wonderful tale of these two characters who learned important things like paying attention, not making assumptions, and taking a chance on love.
Tibbs and Ricci’s witty banter was really entertaining to watch and I enjoyed the ease at which they interacted with all of the side characters too. Since I haven’t read the previous books in this series, it was a great introduction to each of them and I look forward to going back and reading their stories in the future.
Overall, I would recommend this book to anyone who enjoys contemporary romance and/or quick, easy reads. Amazing work, Gephart!
