And there we have it: Nomes’ Favourite Books of 2020! One thing I noticed while compiling this list was how the star ratings didn’t necessarily correlate with which book I considered my favourite. The star ratings were more of a guide and the ultimate choice lay in my feelings towards the book post-read.

Also any of the books I listed under notable mentions for that month were incredible and left me feeling all the emotions; I would recommend them to everyone.

This year has been hard. I don’t even need to go into further detail because we all pretty much understand 2020 has been difficult in more ways than one. However, one of the things that has really gotten me through and helped me feel connected with people is reading. I have read (and reviewed) some astounding stories. I’ve fallen in love with many wonderful characters, and I’ve connected with so many fantastic authors and fellow readers.

Basically, books have been my saving grace and I’m so grateful for all of the opportunities I’ve been given this year. Now, the new year is just around the corner and I look forward to all the new books and opportunities that are to come.

*Please note: notable mentions are not listed in any particular order. Also titles listed under December have not yet been officially ‘wrapped up’. The full December wrap-up will be posted in a few days.
