ARC Review: Forever Wild – KA Tucker (Wild #2.5)

Rating: 5 out of 5.

Blurb

From the international bestselling author of The Simple Wild comes Forever Wild, a novella that continues the story of Calla’s journey to the Alaskan wild and a life she never imagined for herself.

The holiday season is upon Calla and Jonah, and with the mistletoe and gingerbread comes plenty of family drama. Jonah is bracing himself for two weeks with a stepfather he loathes, and while Calla is looking forward to her mother and Simon’s arrival, she dreads the continued pressure to set a date for their wedding … in Toronto. Add in one bullheaded neighbor’s unintentional meddling and another cantankerous neighbor’s own family strife, and Christmas in Trapper’s Crossing will be anything but simple.

Review

Forever Wild will forever be a favourite of mine! Anyone who loves The Simple Wild and/or Wild at Heart by KA Tucker, will understand completely when I say this book is like coming home.

I previously stated that Wild at Heart (book 2) was the sequel I didn’t know I needed, well, the same can be said again for Forever Wild. Tucker uses this fun and cozy novella to wrap up all the loose ends and unanswered questions from the first two books, and does it perfectly during the craziness that is Christmas time!

I can’t go into too many details as I don’t want to spoil anything, but suffice it to say, I loved this one. Calla is still learning and growing and loving in Alaska, and Jonah is still by her side doing the exact same. They’re not perfect (who is?) but they’re perfect together and have made a wonderful life in Alaska. They still have many things to overcome but they’re doing it together, and learning from their experiences.

Forever Wild is filled with old friends and new, and features many of intimate, lovable moments that KA Tucker is known for writing. It was the perfect addition (and ending) to one of my all time favourite series and I’m equally happy and sad for this ending. But there is a big surprise reveal at the end of this series that I think many fans will love. Well, two surprises actually!

Overall, 5 stars – would recommend to everyone!
