Review
A Favor for a Favor is Nat Chelloni’s debut novel and boy, what an amazing start to a writing career. The story immediately begins with lots of action and intrigue, and sets the pace for what is a very thrilling, romantic, and downright devious plot. Basically, I loved every minute of it.
A Favor for a Favor tells the story of Dom, the alpha hero who is trying to clean up his image with legitimate business dealings after living a life in his mafia family’s shadow, and Julia, the daughter of a mobster and the wife who became a widow because of mafia dealings. Their enemies-to-lovers relationship throughout the story is intense, tumultuous and super sweet.
Dom has always loved Julia from afar but never acted on those feelings because, despite what some people believe about him, he’s actually a decent human being with morals. Years later, Dom and Julia have a chance encounter and Dom decides now it the time to do something about his feelings for her. Julia has no idea about any of this and their “first” meeting is disastrous! However, things can only go up and it was so much fun seeing how these two characters grow within themselves and with each other.
Outside of the amazing romantic elements, however, is a really compelling and dramatic story detailing different aspects of the mafia life. There are missing people, an unsolved murder, and more that needs to be investigated. It truly is a well constructed story and Chelloni’s writing style really hooks you in. Overall, this was a fantastic debut novel and I can’t wait to see what Chelloni writes in the future.

ABOUT THE AUTHOR
From Nat Chelloni:
I’m a TV personality, a screenwriter and a film critic. I love books and I’m an avid reader across all genres. Since I was a kid I’ve always created stories and often told them to my close friends and family members, pretending they were written by other authors to see if they actually liked them. They always did, and at some point, I thought why not publish one of those stories? That’s how this book came about…:)
