Review
The Simple Wild was my first KA Tucker novel and the start of my love affair with her stories. To put it simply, I was blown away by how amazing this story was! Everything from the writing to the characters, scenery and the storyline was so beautiful and endearing. It was full of personal growth, overcoming challenges and the complexities of life and love in the Alaskan wilderness.

The story begins with Calla Fletcher who hasn’t had a relationship with her father in years. At 26 years old, she finds out her father is ill and travels all the way to a small town in Alaska in an attempt to rebuild their estranged relationship. While there, she meets a variety a characters including the rugged and rude, Jonah, who flips the switch on everything Calla thought she knew about life and family.

Without giving any spoilers away, I will point out that this story kept me up reading all through the night and into the early morning. The entire plot was one emotional rollercoaster that had me laughing along one minute and bawling my eyes out the next. I just couldn’t put the book down and was so desperate to find out what happened next.

Since reading The Simple Wild, I have gone on to read several other books by Tucker, each one amazing! Tucker is one of my favourite authors; she knows how to write compelling contemporary romances and I can’t wait to see what else she writes in future!

If you like this one, the sequel Wild at Heart is DUE 3 March 2020!
