Review
Sweet Revenge is the first book in the Sinners MC series and a great starting point for readers wanting to get into MC romances. Hanks wrote a raw, gritty yet sweet love story between Maggie and Gunner that left me wanting more. I haven’t read any of Hanks’ other books yet but apparently Maggie is introduced in her Dimarco series. To say Maggie has gone through a lot is an understatement so getting her story now as she finds the inner strength (though doesn’t realise it at the time) to rise up and leave is wonderful. Gunner, despite his bad boy reputation, is an absolute gentleman with Maggie and helps her gain back her independence, self-esteem and hope for a future.
I enjoyed Hanks’ writing style and found this story to have genuine dialogue, relationships and emotions, and to be the perfect balance between alternating POVs. After reading this story, I would be interested in picking up the Dimarco series in the future.
